We are looking for a motivated Graduate Trainee – Back Office to support administrative and operational tasks, ensuring smooth backend processes. This role offers recent graduates valuable hands-on corporate experience and skill development for future career growth.

Job Purpose:
The GIT - Graduate Trainee – Back Office is responsible for assessing data accuracy on approved client loans and to ensure inaccurate elements are flagged and re-assessed for correction or amendment.

Position Details:
Job Title: Graduate Trainee – Back Office – Watu Simu
Reports to: Back Office Supervisor


Key Responsibilities:
  • Data entry and approval/ verification of key stages during the on boarding process in accordance with SLA
  • To verify the authenticity of documents as well as the information contained therein by calling the relevant customers to confirm the correct information.
  • Clearly define reasons for rejecting loans during verification
  • Liaise with team supervisors in case of issues affecting OBS
  • Ensure ALL sales are completed within recommended timelines and if not to communicate to FO concerned for follow up
  • Conduct all activities in accordance with the company’s policies, processes and code of conduct
  • Fulfil any reasonable tasks given or approved by management that is work-related and aimed towards company’s goals and targets
  • Proactively recommend improvements and innovative ideas to increase business efficiency
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills with fluency in English, Luganda, or other widely spoken languages like Runyankole, Rutooro, Rufumbira, Rukiga, Ateso, Acholi, langi, Kumam, Lumasaba, Swahil, Lugbara etc. is required to effectively engage with our clients.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (google sheets, ERP)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the organization
  • Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
  • Passion for sales and customer engagement.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
