Job Purpose

The Asset risk supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day activities with the effective and efficient functioning of the Special Cases, investigations process, and enforcement of Fraud cases, Vandalism, and Emergencies to provide expertise and advice on all investigations and enforcement-related issues. Will be assigned responsibilities to handle a special cases portfolio and ensure all accounts assigned are attended to as per the company policies.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Specific
  1. Manage workflow for the team- Analyze and assign cases.
  2.  Help in resolving employee issues and disputes.
  3. Compile daily reports from their respective team and report them to the Manager.
  4. Develop and maintain good relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  5.  Performance evaluation for the officer.
  6. Provide a supervisory role to the team.
  7. Cost control- Approvals
  8. Risk assessment and mitigation for the company Asset.
  9. Analyzing employees’ performance to ensure that they are working towards set targets, identifying areas that require improvements, and tracking that improvement.
  10. Compile daily reports from their respective team and report them to the  Manager.
  11. Special assignments as preferred by the Manager.

         B. General

  2. Fulfill any reasonable tasks given or approved by management that are work-related and aimed toward the company’s goals and targets
  3. Complete all tasks and responsibilities within the agreed deadlines
  4. Action all administrative duties as per the agreed process.

  6. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
  7. Proactively recommend improvements and innovative ideas to increase business efficiency.

Key Performance Indicators

  1. Maintain MoM team overall resolution rate of at least 85%.
  2. Field support (Lead, Coach) for officers three times a month per officer.
  3. Manage TAT for the assigned cases on the officer's sheet.
  4. Team monthly appraisals and documented

 Skills:

  1.  Bachelor’s degree in Insurance and risk, business administration, or any other related field
  2. 2 to 3 years of in-depth knowledge and experience in the Asset Risk and Investigation department
  3.  Excellent communication, Planning organizational and negotiation skills
  4.  Integrity, enthusiasm, and passion for continuous learning and development
  5.  Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work harmoniously in an organization with diverse business operations
  6.  Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, able to effectively deal with people at all levels inside and outside the company.
  7. High attention to detail and internal control.
  8. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  9. Presentation skills 
  10. Must be employed by watu for a period of 1 year

  1. Conduct mid-year performance appraisals, annual performance appraisals, and monthly 1-1s as per the Watu performance management cycle. 
  2. Lead, coach, motivate, inspire, and develop others to create an environment that fosters teamwork and cooperation
  3. Identify the team's training needs and ensure team members obtain the appropriate training and support.
  4. Develop creative ways to keep employees motivated and encourage teams to work to achieve their set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  5. Identify and recommend new ways of working to continuously improve efficiency, productivity, and both our internal and external customer experience.
  6. Cascade communication on any changes in policies, schedules, and product knowledge to the team.
  7. Lead, attend, and participate in team meetings.
  8. Address and resolve team conflicts and maintain a professional work environment that is values-based.
