Position: Sales Representative
The Sales Representative is responsible for driving Watu Simu’s sales growth by recruitment of the new dealers, managing dealer relationships, expanding store coverage, and ensuring excellent field execution. This includes daily route management, new dealer acquisition, dealer engagement, training and retraining of Front Officers (FOs), performance analysis, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The role requires a proactive, analytical, and relationship-driven individual capable of achieving measurable results in a dynamic field environment.
Core Responsibilities:
- Execute the acquisition of new dealerships and maintain strong dealership relationships within assigned territory.
- Achieve sales growth in alignment with targets.
- Conduct the regular visits to the dealers within the assigned territory.
- Conduct regular training for the dealership owner and the staff on the product offer, system and dashboards usage, after sales services.
- Execute the distribution and placement of marketing materials to dealers.
- Conduct monitoring and continuous improvement of portfolio quality.
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Route management: Ensure full route compliance and effective store coverage within the assigned territory.
- Dealer and Territory Management: Manage relationships with dealers and Front Officers (FOs) to ensure smooth daily operations, adherence to routes, and strong sales performance.
- Market Development: Expand distribution within the assigned territory by onboarding new dealerships and stores each month to grow Watu Simu’s footprint in the region.
- Sales Growth: Drive credit conversions and promote Watu Simu products to increase dealer/store sales and overall revenue performance.
- Brand Visibility: Execute distribution and placement of branding materials and ensure Watu Simu products are prominently presented for maximum visibility and customer engagement.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key sales and portfolio health metrics, identify underperforming areas, and implement improvement actions through regular field reviews and coaching for dealers and Front Officers.
- Portfolio Quality Management: Monitor repayment performance within the territory, ensuring timely follow-up on unpaid or overdue accounts.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks such as dealer non-compliance, irregular Front Officer activities, or portfolio deterioration and take proactive corrective actions.
- Training: Provide ongoing training and retraining to FOs and dealers on Watu Simu processes, systems, product offer and after sales services to ensure accuracy and quality in customer onboarding and after sales support.
- Operational Support of Dealers: Provide field-level assistance to ensure dealers and FOs have all necessary tools and information. Confirm FOs are correctly signed in under their respective dealerships and POS. Escalate recurring or unresolved challenges for timely resolution. Provide immediate support for operational or system-related issues. Lead dealership WhatsApp group discussions on onboarding and FO account creation.
- Market Intelligence: Gather and report insights on competitor activities, and customer trends to help shape strategic decisions.
- Reporting and Communication: Submit accurate and timely daily and weekly reports on field activities, performance, and market feedback.
- Compliance and Ethical Standards: Uphold company policies, maintaining professionalism, and ensuring compliance with all operational procedures.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance field efficiency and effectiveness.
- Any other task that might be assigned by the management.
