We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled GPS Mobile Technician to join our team and help ensure the efficient installation, maintenance, and support of our GPS tracking solutions.

Role Summary;
A Mobile Technician is responsible for diagnosing and restoring GPS trackers that have gone offline, including those located in remote areas. The role involves traveling to different locations to troubleshoot, repair, and ensure tracking devices are fully operational, supporting seamless connectivity and reliable tracking services.
Key Duties and Responsibilities;
- Installing trackers in new assets before onboarding
- Replacing or fixing offline trackers for repossessed assets and walk in clients
- Diagnose faults why tracker went offline to determine whether to replace or maintain the current tracker in the asset.
- Removing trackers from assets sold on cash or whose loans have been cleared to zero balance.
- Delivering the highest level of professional service to the Company clients while keeping tracker’s installation and service information strictly confidential
- Maintaining proper information logs and submitting to assigned supervisor all with GPS tracking device installation connected information – vehicle’s chassis number, plate number, make, model, color, trackers IMEI number, SIM card number, installation date and place. Other information may be requested at any time
- Perform any other duties assigned as the need may arise
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor or Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in installation and maintenance of GPS tracking devices.
- Experience in vehicle electrical systems and troubleshooting electrical faults.
- Ability to install, configure, and maintain GPS tracking systems for vehicles and motorcycles.
- Basic computer skills for device configuration and reporting.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Must be able to speak Languages such as English, Luganda, Lumasaba, Swahili and other languages widely spoken in the area
- Ability to ride a motorcycle and possess a valid riding permit (Class A is an added advantage).
- Ability to work in field environments and respond to technical support requests.
